WORKING ABROAD

Working Overseas: Welcome

REQUIREMENTS OF EMPLOYERS

You may be planning to work overseas.  I can advise you on notarisation and legalisation of documents such as qualification certificates, crime database certificates (such as DBS and ACRO), ID documentation and official certificates (such as birth and marriage certificates), all of which may be required by your new employer.

Starting a new job and moving overseas can be both exciting but stressful my goal is to ensure that your documentation is in order as smoothly as possible.

American passport
British visa entry and exit stamp in passport

DOCUMENTS IN NEED OF TRANSLATION & CERTIFICATION

• Birth certificates

• Marriage certificates

• Passports

• Academic qualifications

• Proof of residence

• Last will and testaments

APOSTILLES FOR LEGALISATION

When you are asked to have your documents legalised, you will usually require an apostille. This is a certificate that is attached to your document by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which certifies the official notarisation of the document. If the receiving country is a signatory to The Hague Convention, then there will be no need to have the documents further legalised by an embassy or consulate.
